Nucleus reuniens : ウィキペディア英語版 | Nucleus reuniens
The nucleus reuniens, a component of the thalamic midline nuclear group, is located in the interthalamic adhesion (''massa intermedia'') in mammals. The nucleus reuniens receives afferent input from a large number of structures, mainly from limbic and limbic-associated structures. It sends projections to the medial prefrontal cortex, the hippocampus, and the entorhinal cortex, although there exist sparse connections to many of the afferent structures as well. The frontal-hippocampal connection allows it to regulate the amount of neural traffic between them with changes in attentiveness, as well as contribute to associative learning, spatial route planning, and memory generalization. ==References==
